About

ThemeParks.ie is a gallery of some of the photographs I've taken while visiting amusement parks and fun fairs around the world. Trip reports and many more photographs can be found at my roller coaster pages.

A few images suitable for desktop wallpaper use can be found here.

Please note that all on-ride photographs have been taken with the permission of parks concerned.

Taesongsan Funfair
Pyongyang, North Korea

Taesongsan Funfair was the first amusement park to open in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, opening in the 1970s. As with Mangyongdae Funfair, the vast majority of attractions were supplied by Meisho Amusement Machines.

The Flume was closed for my visit but is operational on busier days. The signature roller coaster, Kwansong Yolcha, was damaged in flooding in 2007 and has not operated since.
