Funderland Dublin 2007

No coaster enthusiast would ever have predicted that we would one day have a Schwarzkopf coaster travelling in this country under Irish ownership. If anyone was going to do it, however, it would be the Funderland team. The ride in question is a Looping Star, originally built for Freizeitpark Kirchhorst in 1979. It is one of six of these models still in operation, with the other five located in Attractiepark Slagharen, Frontier City, Nagashima Spa Land, Playcenter Sao Paolo, and Vidámpark. The ride has been rechristened as Shockwave.

As if debuting a massive coaster was not enough, Funderland this year introduced six new machines, including an indoor Frisbee that gets very close to the roof!
